Outreach Programs

A Riparian Institute Educator will visit your school or organization to focus on any of the following topics:

Discovering the Lives of Ancient People
(October through May)
Bizarre and Beautiful Bugs

Each outreach program includes hands-on specimens, visual aids, teacher background information, and student materials.

Programs are designed to promote multi-sensory, experiential, and higher order learning opportunities. Programs include opportunities to apply and practice observational and investigational skills.

Programs offer cross-curricular applications, with a focus on cultural value and human impact, including an understanding of scientific fields of study.

Fee Schedule

$2 per student, plus $20 trip charge - $60 minimum

Pre-K programming is 25-30 minutes per session and is structured for groups of 20 students or less in each session.

Elementary programming is 45-60 minutes per session, and is structured for a group of 30 students or less in each session. 

Larger groups can be accommodated, based on staff availability and program modification.
